Thanksgiving Parade marks first leg of COSCA’s 65th Founding Anniversary Celebration. In tribute to Colegio de Santa Catalina de Alejandria’s (COSCA) 65th year as a Catholic Educational Institution, the Catalinans participated in a celebratory parade from Looc Bypass to Dumaguete City Quezon Park. The march was led by a streamer bearing the message: “Thanks, God. COSCA is 65!” followed by the colors and the COSCA ROTC Marching Band. The Basic Education Department (BED), College of Business Education (CBE), College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS), College of Liberal Arts and Education (CLIA-ED), and the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) attended the event in their varying Christmas costumes with the BED boasting their themed floats. COSCA’s admin, faculty, and staff were also in attendance, with some of the offices waving their respective banners. To underscore the Christmas spirit of the celebration, the Christian Formation Office (CFO) paraded a float featuring the Nativity of Jesus Christ. COSCA Cardinals, the school’s student sports team, marched behind their own flag. Daily campus-goers were not the only ones present; among the guests were COSCA Alumni, Saint Paul University Marching Band, and Taclobo National High School Marching Band.
The next part of COSCA’s 65th Founding Anniversary Celebration is set to be held on December 9, 2024. To see the schedule of the upcoming activities, please refer to COSCA or Catalinan Supreme Student Government.
